A Trip Down Reality Lane Ian Thomas Malone Books
A trip down reality lane is exactly what it advertises it is, a book about an acid trip. I appreciate that it delivered what was expected, because as I started reading I didn't feel betrayed, I felt fulfilled. It was very eloquently written, which is a testament to the author's style. Good grammar is one thing but it was a relatable kind of prose. A very casual read. What I really like about this novel is that you can accept it for face value and get a really entertaining story. Or, you could read a little deeper and be intrigued by the main character development, which is to think more tangibly about his future. Or I'm sure you could read even further into it, which I didn't care to.This is an entertaining read and anyone with a glimmer of interest should read it. The writing style proves even better things are to come from this author, which is why "A Trip Down Reality Lane" only got 4 stars; to keep him humble.

A Trip Down Reality Lane Ian Thomas Malone Books Reviews
Highly reminiscent of my college days. Good read.
I found myself totally immersed in Ian's world. I read this avidly over a weekend. Despite being opposed to drugs I strangely couldn't put it down. It is fluidly written and highly introspective. Loved the poems. A great read. I shall now download more of Ian's work.
Ian Thomas Malone's latest book allows the reader to go on a psychedelic adventure without ever leaving your couch.
Wonderfully written, it takes the reader to places many have never been. We all though, at one time or another have pondered what direction our lives will take. A Trip Down Reality Lane explores this topic in a refreshing way that I found hard to put down!
I loved Malone's first book Five College Dialogues and I was excited to see what he could do with a traditional novel. His talents translate well from Socratic Dialogue. A Trip Down Reality Lane is a treat.
The book features a first person narrator who embarks on an acid trip through the Boston Museum of Fine Arts with two of his buddies. Along the way, he ponders what he wants to do with his life, a question we all invariably find ourselves pondering. Malone does a great job blending comedy with sincerity.
This book is a must read for millennials. It takes a tired genre and freshens it up quite a bit. I love this book. I hope they make a movie out of it.
I would recommend this book to everyone who has ever had an acid trip. At the very least it's a cute story that you will be able to relate to. I would recommend this book to college kids struggling with 'what they want to be when they grow up', the truth is it doesn't matter and as long as your are moving forward you will find yourself in the right place eventually. During the 'trip' in the abstract art wing, I found it extremely amusing the characters had a hard time discerning what was part of the exhibit and what was in their head. The protagonist throughout the story remains, witty, sarcastic, and not at all pretentious. My kind of guy. Overall, a fun read.
Wow! Malone paints an incredibly vivid picture. It has been nearly 20 years since my own experiences tripping down reality lane, however, this book took me right back there! I would not have thought that it was possible to capture this experience in writing, but he has done it. Well done!
First of all, this book is hilarious. It's been a while since I read a book that made me literally laugh out loud. So, the whole story is about three guys on one really long, crazy acid trip. It brought back so many memories of being a crazy teenager, wild and free. Malone's writing style is impeccable. The story is well-crafted, perfectly paced, and clever. I could see this book as a blockbuster comedy film! Nice job, sir. I'm officially a fan.
